April 10, 2005

i have a weak constitution.

i am sicksicksick, sick as a dog! sicksicksick while i sing this song.

my manager sent me home from work early last night cuz i'm sick. as a dog. a dog with fever and tonsils the size of mount rushmore.

i slept pretty much all day. however, last night i went to bed at 11:30 and woke up every 1-2 hours until 10 this morning. not real sure. then when i went back to bed after 10:30 (and a very disturbing phone call with my boss), i slept straight till 2:30. weird.

i think i'm going to eat some leftover chicken parm that K brought over last nite. mmm...last nite i ordered some rigatoni alla vodka (praise the Lord) and some fried zucchini from Fortunata's, this tiny-ass little place by my house which is absolutely amazing. so i have plenty to tide me over till this illness passes, i think. (barry white is playing on the radio upstairs.) (speaking of barry white, i'd really like to get a european/international dvd player so i could buy the complete series of Ally McBeal.) i'm gonna get up and go to the dr. tomorrow, but i don't even know if i'll be able to go to work. i know i'm contagious, first of all. boo.

on a related topic, i need a real job. i sent out 3 resumes the other day, but when i sent the 3rd one i realized that on the first 2 cover letters i'd forgotten to change the date. which means they were dated February 25, 2005. GREAT. lol. anyway. i need to update my resume' for monster.com and get back plugging away at finding a normal job. i really miss having the weekends off. and i think it's ridiculous that i can be punished for being sick. it's not my problem that they don't hire enough people to cover all the shifts because the owner of the hotel is too freaking cheap to pay more employees. asshole.

well, i'm just rambling here. i don't actually have anything good to say. ha. plus i feel so awful, so everything seems negative right now. sorry 'bout that, folks.

please leave kind, encouraging notes saying things like "it's OK to eat yourself into oblivion when you're sick; you deSERVE it!", etc. etc. i do thank ye.
