more ramblings

i'm convinced that my English teacher really likes me. after all, i always know the answers when no one else does, and she referred to me specifically in a recent strand on the discussion board (on blackboard), saying she would like more responses like mine. whoo. and i just posted a link to an article about The Passion, the movie by Mel Gibson causing such a hubbub in Hollywood and elsewhere. actually my parents' friend sent it out over email, so that was lucky for me 'cause the english prof. had been talking about, wondering the name, when it was due out, etc. so score more points for me!

i missed class today cuz i was feeling really sickly last night. i keep thinking i'm getting sick, but then it's very on and off, so maybe i'm just stressed out. luckily i can catch up on some French homework tonight since i wasn't there to get the NEW stuff today and since i don't have much to do for tomorrow. yay.

tomorrow in vocal jazz we're supposed to audition to sing our songs for the first concert. only we have to sing the songs she gave us, which is fine, but the song is just really boring, and really not me at all. it's very dark, really cheesy lyrics, from some movie in the 1930s. which is fine, but the movie is like Stagecoach or Chuckwagon or something really dumb like that, which pretty much tells you what you need to know. Very rarely do i not enjoy singing a song, and i honestly do not enjoy this one. it's just soooooo boring. that's all i can say. but oh well. maybe she'll give me something better next time when she knows my voice better. it's annoying though, cuz lots of the other people got really good songs. i've only heard a couple that aren't good either. most are really great ones. but anyway. i'm just complaining.

we bought some lunch stuff, and we've been taking our lunches to school, like the old days, and it's been nice. i love sandwiches and chips, anyway, and it's like 3 times cheaper than buying stuff in the cafeteria. plus their bread is almost always stale, anyway. wassupwitdat? i've been practicing my pirouettes in the living room (yay for wooden floors in this case), and wayne gets really excited about it and tries to bite my legs off.

you know, these dance classes are a really good workout, and they're much more fun than stupid tae-bo or better yet, exercise machines. ugh. so yay to killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

we bought our tickets home for the state fair of texas. WHOO HAW! we LOVE the fair. it's the biggest fair in the country, you know. mainly i like the food. i'm excited for the fletcher's corny dogs, the pizza, the nachos, the funnell cakes, the cotton candy...oh man, i've been dying for some mexican food lately. we've planned a trip to an upstate mall that has a Don Pablo's for this saturday. we're both dying for some tex-mex. it's making me crazy. i even had Chili's last night, and it just didn't do the trick.

i wonder if this isabel hurricane is really gonna come up to NY. that would be interesting. luckily we're not near the shore, but man, sucks for jersey and long island. well, i want to eat a snack, and then i'm gonna get started on some work so i can get to bed early tonight.
