fun times in the summertime

hmm...that's actually me on that new image over there. weird. ah, fun with graphics...yeah, not much goin on. it's saturday, so boring, boring. ugh. of course the downstairs neighbors were at it all day today. i hear these giant thuds like my whole floor is shaking, and i wonder what exactly it is that they do down there. i mean it can't be as bad as it sounds or the two teenage daughters would be dead by now. not trying to joke about such things, i'm serious. normal people don't yell the way they do.

but anyway. i think i'm gonna start painting our dishes. or at least think about it. maybe i'll clean up. it's a wreck in here. i could use some pizza right now. hmm...i don't have any cash. story of my life.

yesterday we drove out to bfe long island and went to the best mall ever. well maybe not THE best mall ever, but considering our options in the metro area...yeah. so we got some great stuff, and it was thoroughly exciting. and we were gone all day and night because we decided we wanted to find an olive garden cuz there's not one in queens (that i know of) so we called information on my cell phone, and i was like, hi, do you have any listings for the olive garden in long island? and he was like, uh, where in long island? and i'm thinking to myself, well if i knew that, don't you think i would have said so? but instead i said, uhhhhh... so he goes, well, in nassau or suffolk? lol. his patience is wearing thin. kristen tells me from the driver's seat, ask him if he knows what the difference is. lol. do you know what the difference is? i asked. wellllll, there are two parts of long island, and one is nassau county, and the other is suffolk county. gee. thanks for that epiphany. i said, oh. ok...nassau. so he came back and gave me two numbers. so i called the first one and we ended up driving around aimlessly for an hour because the guy gave us wrong directions. wrong highway, buddy. so eventually we called the other location, which was further away, but we finally made it around 9:30 or so. (we left the mall on our wild goose chase at 7:30.) good god. but it was worth it. if you have an olive garden at your disposal, next time you go, hit them up for the pasta fagioli soup. MAN. also, today i found this cool website eyeglasses.com. you can upload your own picture and "try on" different pairs to see what you'd look like. whoo! endless hours of good, clean fun! yeah. i'm gonna go 'head and...
