this summer is so much nicer than last summer!

weird when you go to a comedy club and one of the comics [the best one, in fact] is someone who comes into your restaurant all the time, and you never even knew what he did.

also went to the MOMA yesterday, and it was all right. there was some good stuff, but i was a little disappointed starry night is still traveling with some other good ones. it will be back in time for the reopening in manhattan in november.

but there was this really whacked out exhibit by some woman named Lee Bontecou, and it was really interesting.

and some Pollack and some guy with a weird name but who was american [Cy Twombly] and had a giant 4-canvas piece on the 4 seasons and even a Max Ernst painting i'd never seen before and which didn't resemble any of his others. it's always weird when you don't recognize an artist's work because it's completely different from everything else he's done. i also really liked Umberto Boccioni.

but anyway.

good times all around.

i think i'm gonna get dressed and head over to the mall [even though it's saturday and all the riff-raff will be there and i will most definitely regret it once i'm there, surrounded]. i really need at least one pair of jeans. [did i mention that i've lost like 10 pounds since i started working at the restaurant and now none of my pants fit? GREAT!]

last friday when K and i were in the City, i bought this Ritter Sport chocolate at this fancy grocery, and it is TASTY! it's milk chocolate with butter biscuit. yum. i really wish there was a chic-fil-a in NY right now. what is UP with that?? ugh.
