and it's non-habit forming, too!

my sleep schedule is SO completely whacked out that it's unbelievable. i went to bed at 7 am this morning! of course i didn't get up till like 3 pm yesterday, because i didn't go to bed the night before until like 5:30 am or something. how does this happen? when the sun has FULLY risen before you've laid down for bed, you know there is a problem. whoops. i was like, hmm...that's not normal. i'm working the graveyard shift here. (really, i am working tonight and tomorrow--i work from home--but i didn't yesterday, so there was no reason to stay up that late, other than the fact that i simply was not SLEEPY). crap.

i have that melatonin supplement stuff, so i think i'm gonna try to take one later tonight when i finish working. it's supposed to make you sleepy, tell your brain that you should be sleeping, something of that nature. great! my accompanist at my old university recommended it to me a while back. said she'd used it 'cause she had insomnia, and that after taking it a few times it helps to regulate your sleep patterns. and it's completely natural and non-habit-forming. good news. SO for all you insomniacs out there. melatonin. go fetch!
